Shipping policy

We ship our chocolates with love and care using 2-day Priority shipping in insulated packaging with gel ice packs, where necessary, to keep everything cool and protected. Ships Mon–Wed only. Delivery by end of second business day in most continental US areas. Orders placed after Tuesday will ship the following Monday.

Ground shipping within Colorado (1–3 business days).Ships Mon–Wed only. We use insulated packaging and gel packs, where necessary, but chocolate is heat-sensitive. We recommend choosing 2-Day Expedited during warmer months if concerned about temperature.

Service Area: Continental United States only. We do not ship to PO Box addresses.

Because our confections are small-batch and made with real cream and butter, we recommend:

  • Placing your order when temperatures are milder whenever possible
  • Opening your box promptly and storing in a cool, dry place (ideally below 72°F / 22°C)
  • Enjoying within 2–3 weeks for the best flavor and texture

If your chocolates arrive warmer than expected or anything is less than perfect, please reach out within 48 hours of receipt, with a detailed description and photographic evidence of the issue.

Please Note: Once a package has left our facility, we are not responsible for delivery delays experienced by FedEx and UPS due to severe weather events, high volume, mechanical problems or other unforeseen issues, and Chocolate Elk is not responsible if an order is misplaced or damaged and not picked up once it’s been delivered.

Important: Chocolate is temperature-sensitive. While we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee condition after delivery if the package is left in heat or if delivery is delayed by the carrier. Please plan to receive your order promptly.

Thank you for choosing Chocolate Elk.
